Hot Fun In The Summertime
July 21, 2014

The Lady of the House has headed north for the summer, but that shouldn’t dissuade you from a visit to the Curry Mansion Inn.  In fact, it’s the perfect time to visit Key West and save a little money.  Each summer when you stay three nights, your 4th night is on the house.  It’s Edith’s way of saying thank you.
You can use your extra day to take advantage of the wide range of watersports and excursions like a trip to Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas – 67 miles west of Key West, accessible by boat or seaplane.  Construction on the fort began in 1847, composed of over 16 million bricks; it is considered to be the largest masonry structure in the Americas.  The group of small islands was first viewed by Ponce de Leon in 1513; he named it Tortugas for the many sea turtles he found there.  Dry was added to the name so that seafarers would know there was no fresh water.  President Franklin D. Roosevelt designated Fort Jefferson a National Monument after a visit during a fishing trip in 1935. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970, and established as a National Park in 1992.
For landlubbers, Key West offers some of its best events in the summer months – Key Lime Festival, Hemingway Days and Lobster Fest to name just a few.  The temperature may be a bit higher, but there is always a place to catch a cool island breeze and even cooler cocktail or fresh seafood dinner in the many establishments that range from very casual to fine dining.
A visit to Key West and a stay at the Curry Mansion Inn is great any time of year, but summer is a season that shouldn’t be missed., buy cheap levitra without prescription, lexapro in Canada online,
